Warranty

What is covered

Frame: 2 years. Cracks, weld failure and structural defects under normal riding by a rider within the published rated capacity. This includes the rear axle mount, which is the joint we expect to be asked about, because it is where drift kart frames fail.

Electronics: 12 months. Motor, controller, throttle, charger and wiring, against manufacturing defect and premature failure.

Battery pack: 12 months against manufacturing defect, including cell failure, BMS failure and connector faults.

Everything else: 12 months against defect. Hubs, bearings, brake components, steering.

Cover starts on the delivery date, not the order date, and it transfers with the kart if you sell it.

What is not covered

Riding over the rated rider weight. This is the one that matters, so it is first. Every kart publishes a rated capacity in text on its product page. Over that rating, the frame flexes, ground clearance drops, the motor runs at continuous high current and the failure that follows is a consequence rather than a defect. A cracked axle mount on a kart ridden over capacity is visibly diagnosable, and we will not pretend otherwise. Why the rating exists at all is explained in why rated capacity matters.

Wear items. Slide sleeves, tires, brake pads, bearings and chains wear by design. Sleeves are the clearest case: they are consumed deliberately, at $59 a set, and their wearing out is the mechanism working.

Battery capacity loss over time. A lithium pack losing capacity across three to five years is normal ageing. Defects inside twelve months are covered. A pack at 78% capacity in year four is not a defect.

Modification of the electrical system. Fitting a higher voltage pack, a different controller, or raising a current limit beyond the motor’s rating. Any of these can destroy components, and none of them are our failure.

Water damage. These are splash resistant, not waterproof. Riding in rain, through standing water, or pressure washing puts water where it must not go.

Crash damage, including damage from riding on a surface the kart is not intended for.

Commercial and rental use, which is a different duty cycle. Talk to us before buying for a venue and we will quote a different arrangement rather than sell you a warranty that will not apply.

Cosmetic wear. Scratched powder coat and scuffed plastics.

Build kits and chassis

Individual components carry their own twelve month cover. The combination does not. If you build a kart and specify a controller that cooks a motor, the motor is not a warranty claim.

This is the honest trade for building rather than buying, and it is why matched drive kits exist: everything in a kit is sized against everything else, and a kit failing as a system is our problem.

How a claim works

  1. Email us with your order number, photographs of the fault, and a description of what happened.
  2. We respond within two business days. For most electrical faults we can diagnose from photographs and a description of the symptom.
  3. We ship the part. Controllers, throttles, hubs, chargers and packs are stocked in the US, so the usual outcome is a part in the post rather than a shipping exercise.
  4. If it cannot be fixed with a part, we replace the kart.

That last line is the point of stocking spare parts at all. A warranty is only as good as the supply chain behind it, and a company that cannot source a $40 controller has to argue about the claim instead of solving it.

One thing we will ask

Rider weight, for a frame claim. Not to be difficult, but because the rating is the boundary of what we designed for, and a frame failure under a rider within it is a defect we want to know about.

If a pattern of failures appears at a weight inside our rating, that is a design problem and we would rather find it than deny claims one at a time.

Statutory rights

This warranty is in addition to your rights under applicable law, not instead of them. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited.

Change of mind rather than a fault is covered on returns.

Common questions

How long is the warranty?

Two years on the frame, twelve months on electronics including motor, controller, throttle and charger, and twelve months on the battery pack against defects.

Does drifting void the warranty?

No. These are drift karts. Sliding is the intended use and wear on slide sleeves is expected, not a fault.

What voids it?

Riding over the published rated rider weight, modification of the electrical system, water damage, commercial or rental use, and crash damage.

Is the battery covered as it loses capacity?

Manufacturing defects are covered for twelve months. Gradual capacity loss over years is normal ageing rather than a defect, and is not covered.
