Financing
What is available
Monthly payment plans on orders over $500, offered at checkout through a third-party provider. Terms typically run 6, 12 or 24 months.
Approval, rates and terms are set by the provider based on your circumstances, not by us. We see whether an application succeeded, not why.
Indicative monthly figures
| Kart | Price | Approx. 24 months |
|---|---|---|
| Cadet 36 | $649 | $30/mo |
| Ripcord R1 | $1,295 | $59/mo |
| Torque T2 | $1,895 | $86/mo |
| Ripcord R3 | $2,795 | $127/mo |
These are indicative and assume a representative rate. Your actual figure is shown before you commit, and it includes any interest. Read the total repayable, not the monthly number, because the monthly number is designed to feel small.
When financing makes sense
When it gets the rider onto the correctly sized kart. This is the genuine case. The most expensive outcome in this category is buying a $600 kart that is under-rated for the rider, having it fail or disappoint within a season, and then buying the right one anyway. If financing turns that into one correct purchase, it has saved money rather than cost it.
When you are spreading a known cost. A kart is a durable item with a predictable life. Spreading it over the period you will use it is reasonable.
When to skip it
When the cheaper kart is genuinely the right one. If the rider is 100 lb and your space is a driveway, a $349 Cadet 24 is the correct kart, not a compromise. Financing a $1,295 kart for that rider buys speed and capacity they cannot use.
When buying used would do. A used adult-rated kart at $700 to $900 is frequently better value than a new one on credit, because the frame is the expensive part to make and it does not wear out.
When the total repayable makes the kart cost more than it is worth to you. Look at that number and decide against it honestly.
Running costs are not financed
Worth stating, because they are the part people forget.
- Slide sleeves, $59 a set, one to three sets a year depending on surface
- A replacement battery pack in year three to five, $180 to $795 depending on system
- Helmet and gloves, roughly $120 if you do not own them
Full picture in total cost of ownership. Budget for the pack in particular, because it is the largest predictable cost and it is not covered by any warranty at that age.
Returns and warranty on a financed order
Identical to any other order. Full returns rights within 30 days and the same warranty terms.
If you return a financed kart, we refund the provider and they close the agreement. Restocking and return freight on a change-of-mind freight return are deducted from the refund exactly as they would be from a card payment, so a returned $1,295 kart may leave a small balance owing on the agreement.
What we will not do
Recommend a more expensive kart because financing makes the monthly number look manageable. If you email us the rider’s weight, your surface and your space, we will tell you which kart to buy, and reasonably often that is the cheaper one.
The range is on adult drift karts.
Common questions
Do you offer financing?
Yes, on orders over $500, through a third-party provider at checkout. Approval is theirs, not ours, and takes a couple of minutes.
Does financing affect the warranty or returns?
No. A financed kart has identical warranty and return rights to one paid outright.
What happens if I return a financed kart?
We refund the provider, they close the agreement, and any restocking or return freight is deducted from the refund exactly as it would be on a card payment.
